Chapter 7: Recapturing the Tiger Palace
The traveler and the Taebaek troops arrived at Tiger Palace after defeating the Changui and the tigers. Using the last
Star of Twilight that Ahong NPC Knowledge brought from Mount Ahshi, he called upon Sangoon NPC Knowledge. But taking on Sangoon was no easy task.
Just as Taesoo NPC Knowledge was about to fall to Sangoon's ferocious attacks, his father proclaimed:
"Not him... my one and only... son. If it would silence your sorrowful heart, unleash your rage on me!"
Old Man Mansoo NPC Knowledge sacrificed himself to save his one and only son, Taesoo, and the traveler, Dolswe NPC Knowledge, and the remaining Taebaek troops made it out safely. Only after Mr. Byeon NPC Knowledge had seen people being killed with his own eyes did he open his mouth.
The orders were from was none other than Lee Duksoo NPC Knowledge, the Yeongam of the East, and Jang Iksoon NPC Knowledge, the Hyungam of Dalbeol. Taesoo wanted to throw them to the tigers, but first he had to prepare a tiger victim funeral rite so that his father wouldn't turn into a Changui.
Then, Old Lady Birigongdeok NPC Knowledge turned up at their base to stop the ritual, saying that Old Man Mansoo was alive! This sparked an argument between Ahong and Taesoo about what to do first.
Ahong said that to stop the tiger attacks, all they needed to do was send Sangoon's cub back to the Tiger Palace, while Taesoo said that taking Sangoon down while he was weak would stop the tiger attacks and also console the families of the victims.
