[Storybook] Tale of Sangoon

Chapter 1: The Guardian of this Land

A long time ago, Bonghwang of Mount Ahshi flew to Mount Taebaek. The Star of Twilight fell forth as he vomited the sunset, and with the Decree of Ahshi, he declared that the tiger that could bear this star to be the Sangoon NPC Knowledge, or guardian, over Donghae Province.

There has been a Sangoon over Donghae Province ever since the first one had been appointed by Bonghwang, and those who proved their valor and wisdom went to the Tiger Palace to be rewarded heartily.

The Sangoon of the present was guardian of these lands as well. Though Sangoon kept the tigers in check, tiger attacks would happen on occasion. It was the inevitable course of nature.

This Sangoon had a friend, Old Man Mansoo NPC Knowledge, a man who had lived his entire life in Beombawi Valley. Mansoo had a wife and son, both whom he loved ever so dearly. That son is the captain of the present Tigerslayers. Contrary to his father, Taesoo NPC Knowledge vowed to slay Sangoon.

After the Apex Changui NPC Knowledge passed on, Taesoo came to his senses and explained that, as a child, he believed that his father was born to serve Mount Taebaek and Sangoon.

On the day of a blistering snowstorm, Taesoo's mother was killed in a tiger attack, and Taesoo witnessed Sangoon's silhouette in the distance. Right as he was about to shoot his arrow, his father appeared and slapped him, saying how dare he point an arrow at Sangoon!
