Chapter 3: Seong Siwon's Resolve

Mongryong had been appointed to the Ministry of Administration and was set to depart for Seoul. At this pivotal moment, Siwon made a bold decision.

"Seoul! We shall all journey to Seoul together!"

Leaving behind the long-standing life in Hanji County, the entire family resolved to ascend to Seoul and establish their place there. It remained a secret that Siwon's daughter, Chunhyang, dreading a lonely life as a newly-wed wife, insisted on moving to Seoul.

Once Mongryong began his official duties, he quickly showcased his exceptional abilities. Seoul was home to many renowned scholars, and Siwon, engaging in debates with them, began to refine his own academics. Eventually, Siwon also passed the state examination and received an official position. He cherished Mongryong even more, declaring that a fortune had come into their family. However, Siwon aspired to climb even higher. He wished to elevate the honor of his family, which had produced Prime Ministers for generations...

And one fateful day, the Prime Minister Jang Daeseung NPC Knowledge paid Siwon a visit.
