Chapter 11: Chunhyang and Mongryong, Reunited

As Mongryong had foretold, the marten had indeed fled to his place of exile. The astute Mihyun, recognizing Dambi at a glance, had been protecting her from malevolent forces. Yet, the mark planted by the sinister Centipede Market, constricted her very life. The traveler, though aware of the peril, resolved to shatter the binding barrier with sheer force, and by fortune, the endeavor was successful. Thus, Chunhyang and Mongryong were reunited once more.

"Oh, my love...? ...Mongryong!! The exile... Where were you? Does father know you're wandering around like this? You must be out of your mind! Are you trying to bring shame upon our family?! Did I ever complain when you went off on business to Donghae, leaving me with just a single letter?"

"It was a royal decree, I didn't have any say in it! Are you still sore 'bout that? I thought I explained it to you..."

"Yes, that royal decree. Do you know what they've been saying? Talking about how you abandoned your bride? I know your work is important, I've been patiently waiting for you here in Hwanghae Province!"

"What in tarnation?! You're fussin' after just dodgin' death's door! Let's hash this out later, not in front of my friends here!"

"Didn't I tell you to fix that bumpkin Hanji County accent? You think this is just nagging, don't you? Do you really think I'm nagging for my own sake? Everything I do, it's for you, for us, Mongryong!"

The traveler, seeing the long-separated couple's heated exchange, decided to discreetly step away, granting them their moment of reunion.
