Chapter 4: Forgetful People

While traveling through Hwanghae Province, the traveler and Dolswe NPC Knowledge heard stories about people who have lost their memories and become fools.

"One day, out of nowhere, he comes to me asking for some money. Says he needs it to buy a guide, some kind of handbook, he says. He left, saying he'd be back soon. *sobs* But when he did, he didn't remember a thing. Not even who he was."

As they investigate the surroundings, the traveler and Dolswe discover that the memory loss is linked to a sate exam handbook. Apparently, some passed the state exam just by using the handbook! It turns out, the children of the Minister of Administration were the ones who passed. So, everyone started buying that handbook guide to study... and that's when people began losing their memories and became fools.

The traveler and Dolswe track the recent movements of Palttuk, the latest person to become a fool. They find Jang Hyeongwang from the Centipede Market and Minister of Administration, Choi Jinyong.
The traveler and Dolswe secretly listen to their conversation.

"Hey! You there! More Makgeolli Knowledge Item, now! Haha, can't you tell I'm in a damn fine mood tonight? A new world is on the horizon for us! A world where tears are no more, and sorrow is but a memory! *Hic*. I'll meet with the Clue-Blad Youth and share everything! *Hic* Lord Jinyong, I'm countin' on you this time! Did I ever tell you about the last time *Hic* I ran into that Blue-clad Youth NPC Knowledge?"
