Chapter 11: The Cave's Identity
The Traveler and Dolswe NPC Knowledge no longer wanted people to lose their memories from the Blue-clad Youth NPC Knowledge's tricks. Forgetkkebi NPC Knowledge suggested blocking the cave to prevent people from entering. It seemed like the quickest and most certain method. Even right now, many were buying handbooks and climbing the mountain. The Traveler and Dolswe prepared gunpowder and blew up the Cave Entrance! But then, they heard someone coughing from inside...!
"You dare! Who filled my mouth with this gravel?"
However, it was
no use. The Traveler and Dolswe faced the furious wrath of the Blue-clad Youth.
"It is you, the fool and his friend who dared vex me before!!"
"Yeah, that's right! I'm the fool! You reckon just 'cause you're all high and mighty, you can go 'round makin' other folks fools? Ain't ya got no kin? How can someone so book-smart treat other folks' lives and families like they ain't worth a sack of rice? What would the wise folks from them books you read say to ya!? If it was me, I'd be so embarrassed I'd crawl into this here cave and just die!"
Startled yet somewhat impressed by Dolswe's outburst, the Blue-clad Youth decided to give them one last chance instead of punishing them.
"Ah, your words speak magnitudes. You intrigue me. I will grant you one final chance. How did I unravel your plot and escape to this place?"
Dolswe was too startled to speak, but the Traveler, calmly recalling the recent events, answered in his place. The cave entrance, which looked like a toad's mouth, and the coughing sound when they lit the gunpowder. Could it be...?
"Because you are the cave."
Could the Blue-clad Youth's true identity be this giant cave?
"I... am the cave, you say? Hahaha. Intriguing, indeed."
Moved by the Traveler's wit, the Blue-clad Youth decided not to meet people who came to the cave anymore.
"Thank you, Traveler. You too, fool. Perhaps, we shall meet again."
