Dolswe NPC Knowledge wanted to trust Janghwa, who had carefully treated his injuries. First, they needed to find out what kind of poison Janghwa and Hongryeon had made. The traveler and Dolswe waited until nightfall and then sneaked into Bae Muryeong's house. They woke him up and tried to take him out...

"Wh-who sent you? Have the Centipedes sent you to kill me?! Why? After all I've done for them! Cutting loose ends are we?"

Terrified, Bae Muryeong revealed his connection to the Centipede Market.

"Yeah, what happened to Eunsil? We know what you did, so spill the beans."
"What? I already sent the report of what happened! After the poison is ingested, it takes effect in a few hours!"

Unbelievable, a poison that takes effect so late after ingestion? Now they knew how Eunsil, the servant of the First Deputy Minister household, had died. As the traveler and Dolswe continued to press Bae Muryeong, they heard an unexpected news. Janghwa and Hongryeon's mother was actually... alive at a mountainside hut. He said he spoke harshly to her, but he never intended to harm her? Whether he was lying under threat or telling the truth, they couldn't tell.

Dolswe, having found a way to console the poor sisters, asked the traveler to hold them off until he could bring their mother.

The traveler did their best to hold them back. The sisters' deep-seated resentment made it difficult. Fortunately, before things got too dire, Janghwa and Hongryeon's mother arrived.

"My children, please stop! Janghwa! Hongryeon! My children!"
"Mother...? Mom!!!!"
"If I had known things would turn out like this, I would never have left you! *sobs*"
