Chapter 5: A Scholar's Resolve

After hearing Sunho NPC Knowledge's plight, Miss Myo NPC Knowledge gathered the people of Byeot County and prepared the axes. After thanking the traveler and Dolswe NPC Knowledge, Sunho said to visit Gowun Plateau if they wanted to see the petition.

On returning to Dalbeol, the road to the office was filled with people on their way to prepare offerings for the upcoming ritual at Sky Altar. While watching the people, the whispering of the Yibang NPC Knowledge and painter Sorong NPC Knowledge reached their ears. They were discussing something suspicious.

After eavesdropping, they stole Sorong's facial sketches. But the sketches seems to be of Sunho's fellow Byukgye comrades...?

The traveler and Dolswe arrive at Gowun Plateau to figure out the truth behind the sketches, only to find the Yeongam of the East.

"O gods of heaven and earth... please protect Donghae from the terrifying chaos of upheaval caused by tiger attacks. Gods above, bear witness as I, Lee Duksoo NPC Knowledge, am determined to punish the weak and murderous Sangoon NPC Knowledge who has forgotten his duty to Ahshi!"

At the edge of Gowun Plateau, they found Sunho, who was unable to raise the petition yet again. He was frustrated to the brink of tears, but refused to give up.

"They say that tears of a true heart are stronger than any blade. The heavens will acknowledge it, so don't give up."

Dolswe consoled Sunho with a solemn heart.
