The Pond Where the Deity Dwells IV - Teachings of the Pond

Even after witnessing these thieves, you have done nothing.
Do you still believe you can hold your head high in front of the king?"

"Gather all the shoes in the pond
and bring them to this child!"

"This child has bestowed upon you all a great lesson!
If you believe these shoes are too valuable... then I will be sure to give you an earful!"

It seems the headmaster knew about the real identity of the deity,
but had waited until now to use it as a lesson for the scholars.
He hoped that through this incident, the scholars would be enlightened
and be reborn as individuals who do not turn a blind eye to injustice.
