[Storybook] When Maehwa Flowers Blossom

Black Spirit

Objective
When Maehwa Flowers Blossom II - The Seonbi and Maehwa

Some time after, Seolhwa gifted Ija with a maehwa pot that she'd received as keepsake from her mother. Her mother had passed away when she was young, and she'd cherished and nurtured it ever since.

Ija, who had also lost his family when he was young was engulfed by a waves of both gratefulness and grief.

Since that day, Ija's attitude towards Seolhwa changed. Seolhwa expressed her feelings cautiously through poetic verses, with a maehwa tree as their witness. Ija reciprocated with heartfelt poems, and they nurtured their love through the exchange of poetic words.

However, Ija's scholarly nature remained unchanged. He secluded himself at home, immersed in a book and having lost track of time. One day, exhausted from waiting, Seolhwa couldn't contain her frustration like any other lover would.

Then, when Ija suddenly snapped back to reality, he rushed over to Seolhwa's house. When the disheartened Seolhwa refused to open the door, he decided to soothe her heart by expressing his affectionate feelings for her in a poem, which he conveyed to her through a letter.

Upon receiving the letter, Seolhwa realized that Ija harbored deep affection not only towards her but also towards his studies.
From that moment on, she wholeheartedly supported his aspirations and always prioritized his wishes.
