Objective
When Maehwa Flowers Blossom I - A Night with a Full Moon
Have you heard the rumor about the ghost that appears at the Cheongsan Institute when the full moon rises?
Cheongsan Institute was founded by Master Ija, renowned as the greatest scholar of his time. With his unwavering beliefs, Ija was an authoritative and stern figure, not only intimidating scholars, but even yangban dared not make a rash move in his presence. Yet, even for someone like him, there was one woman he could never forget.
During his time as a magistrate in a village, Ija encountered a woman standing beneath the full moon during a night stroll. Her beauty was enchanting, captivating anyone who laid eyes on her. Her name was Seolhwa, and their destinies intertwined in that fleeting moonlit moment.
Seolhwa scorned men who expressed superficial affection based on appearances. However, it was Ija, the one who remained reserved in her presence, who piqued her curiosity. She tried to sound him out with poetry, and Ija responded with scholarly poems, guarding his heart as a scholar.
As they exchanged verses, his guarded heart slowly thawed her frozen one. Eventually, she confessed her feelings, giving her heart to him. Unbeknownst to himself, Ija found himself irresistibly drawn to her profound knowledge and intellect, as their poetic exchange deepened their connection.
