[Storybook] The Legend of Haeshin
Black Spirit
Objective
The Legend of Haeshin I - Noble Hero
In the Land of the Morning Light, there was a legendary general who, for a long time,
defended against sea monsters and foreign invasions, inscribing an immortal saga of valor and triumph.
With their ever-sharp intuition, they anticipated dangers and emerged victorious.
The song of their sword, which resounded as if Mount Taebaek itself was splitting, echoed throughout Nampo.
50 years ago, the sacrifice of the Bonghwang on Mount Ahshi thwarted the black clouds,
which later resurfaced in the form of tumultuous waves around a decade ago.
The general had prepared for this day and, leading the last remaining ship,
advanced fearlessly towards the dark maw of the waves.
In his eyes, there was not even a trace of fear.
As the courageous general bravely stood against the black waves, sacrificing his own life to ward them off,
the people deemed the title of "hero" insufficient to honor him. They began to call him "Haeshin", the noble hero, a divine protector of the seas.
Since that day, whenever a new ship is built in Nampo, a tradition has been established where they adorn the ship with the sword and scabbard of the Haeshin, offering a prayer for his protection and blessings.
