Chapter 4: The Approaching End

As I turned the statue once more, a sudden sound broke the silence—a faint movement in the shadows. There, another Ancient Ruin stood, silent and imposing. Was this too a remnant left behind by Kabua? I prepared to survey the area after defeating the risen Ancient Weapons, believing I had silenced them for good. But in that very moment, a weapon—thought to be stilled forever—stirred once more. Just as its strike nearly reached me, the arc of a sword flashed through the air, cleaving the danger away.

"...So, we meet again here."

Goyen, whom I'd encountered in The Magnus NPC Knowledge, stood before me. He claimed he was simply here to finish what remained, but in truth, he revealed much more. This world, he said, is being consumed by the <b>Primordial Darkness</b>—a force that waits beyond Edania for the return of the <b>King</b>.

"But first, there's an obstacle we must face. Yes, I'm talking about the <b>King of Zephyros</b> waiting just ahead."

As I had suspected, the ruler of Zephyros was none other than <b>Caphras NPC Knowledge</b>. Orwen appeared even more bewildered, but there was no turning back now. Determined to uncover more about this place, we searched the ruins nearby for any remaining records.

"The end is coming."

There, among the shattered remnants, we found the writings left by Caphras. At last, the true nature of the Primordial Darkness became clear: <b>Hadum, the Goddess of Despair</b>. Caphras had sought countless ways to resist Hadum, but every effort had failed. In the end, he chose acceptance over defiance.
