Chapter 7: The King of Zephyros

At last, we crossed the threshold of Zephyros Castle and came face to face with Caphras NPC Knowledge. Even now, he demanded we give up and go back, while we still could.

"All worlds go through cycles of birth and downfall. This time, it's simply our turn to fall."

Caphras pressed us relentlessly to abandon hope. Surrender, he claimed, was the wisest choice. Accept the end, wait for a world reborn. But how could we submit to oblivion? If the end must come, then let us at least resist it.

"That must be because you've never truly tasted the terror of annihilation... Very well, let me show you that despair right now, right before your eyes."

Caphras unleashed a tremendous power from within the castle. The ground trembled, the air shivered. Monsters began to move as one, streaming outward—were they heading outside Edania? Soon, the halls were overrun. Orwen summoned the Light of Ancient Origin to hold Caphras back, but it had no effect.

"I did what I could to stop Her. Everything within my power. That is the truth. My efforts crossed time and space, light and darkness alike. The Knights of Dawn—who do you suppose founded it? It was I."

The founder of the Knights of Dawn, forerunners of the Shadow Knights... was Caphras himself?!
